It was only after some time that I started to realize that his way of painting could not to be identified with any other painter ever before. Even how much I tried to find  for a similar way of painting somewhere before, I could not believe until recently that I was on a mission impossible.

Now I can believe it’s truth but understanding it still remains difficult….One might think that a life full of living colours …would bring this inspiration…to the artist….

Being born in the colourful Melilla, a Spanish enclave in Morocco…..
Having spend many years abroad in  Mauritania, Morocco, Italy, France, Belgium and since recently the Netherlands…..

His study at the Art Academy can maybe explain a technique that is being used by the painter but still you will not get to the heart of his work…It is when a thing is so familiar that it is strange…that is the way the energy of his colours originates in his paintings for me…

Whether you look at his ethnics work or surrealistic work or his portraits…you can only come to the same conclusion over and over again: there is a deep consciousness in his paintings as in every moment he tries to capture a glance of the moment he is in. It is therefore that I can only witness: this is a unique style of a unique painter,
